Final Products

Newspaper cover and Second page

This is my final front cover and second page, I added another article on my second page to give it an opinion column for youths because I want to show the youths perspective to the riots as well. The photograph of fazer from NDubz I took myself as I saw him out. The photographs of the scenes of the riots I photographed myself as I was at the scene of the riots. The photograph of the painting is one of my paintings which I added in my newspaper.

This is the article I wrote and I personally interviewed a rioter and recorded the interview, so I added this in my newspaper. The photograph was edited on photoshop as I need to blur out his face, I used the blur tool which worked the best. 

EHOLLA Poster!

This is our final poster, which I am very pleased with as we got brilliant audience feedback as we went around our college asking if this poster would appeal to them.

This is a survey which I created on Survey Monkey which is a website where you can create free surveys to reach your target audience.

The feedback we received from our Survey Monkey we created was positive and we were pleased. Our strongest point of our newspaper we found out from our survey was, our articles and design. I think they liked it as we have the same taste and we designed our papers for our age groups.

Radio Ad

Heres our finished product of our radio ad, which came together well and we were very pleased with it. I think it has elements of a real radio advert and I could imagine hearing this on the radio. We had 4 hours studio time, where we recorded and edited. I think that it was an interesting experience, and I learnt how to use new equipment which was Logic Pro. We looked at youtube tutorials, looked up info on how to edit, and came to grips with the programme easily. 

Riot Article Research

I wrote my article through my own personal experience as I witnessed the riots in Enfield Town as its my community and was driving through enfield and watched as you can read from my article. I also interviewed a rioter who was in the riots but the interview was confidential and I recorded it but only for my own personal research. I visited the sony center the day the fire fighters were still setting the fire to rest and took photos for research and used them. I also read of articles on the riots from newspapers and they were all from the governtments prospective when I wanted to make my article more fair as youths now days are judged down and never have a say and are always expected to do crime but if what there expected of? they will do it.

Audience Research Questionaire Feedback

I handed a few surveys out to a couple of my friends and gathered my information. I asked ages from 16-21 which is my audience demographic. My audience feedback was useful as I included what my target audience wanted for example, Fashion, Crime, Youths being included, and music.

FINAL FRONT COVER&SECOND PAGE DRAFTS

These were my drafts which I handed into my teacher to analyse and to get feedback as well as a group discussion. I changed the font size and added more writing and more crossheads. I also added another article instead of the film poster. I changed the contents section as my draft contents was not at a high standard. I added a twitter logo over the masthead and changed the box at the end of the article on my font cover, with a facebook logo and twitter logo.

Studio

EDITING OUR RADIO AD

Today me and Ismene were in the studio recording our advert. The first thing we sorted out was the equipment. We used Logic Pro to record which I have never used before but got to grips with it after recording more lines. We recorded all the lines of each person we used and then choose the final lines as we got our actors and myself to say our lines five times so we had each line perfect. This was an interesting and fun experience in the studio we spent two hours in the studio and we now need an extra hour as we need to finish editing everything together. We found interesting sound effects and perfect hip hop beats to go with our radio ad.

This is our radio ad script which took us two lessons to come up with, we came up with a draft and changed the whole thing as it was not quirky and synergistic to our other products.
